LS Starrett

• Material: This bi-metal blade has a Matrix II high-speed steel cutting edge welded to an alloy steel back. This steel resists heat, abrasion and shock which allows faster cutting rates over a wide range of materials.
• Versatility: Available in a wide range of thicknesses and widths. Can be used on horizontal machines and light-duty vertical machines equally well. The blade is the choice for production cutting, contour cutting and general purpose cutting.
• Heavy Set: Also available in Heavy Set, 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2" in 4-6SH and 3-4SH pitches, for cutting wide flange beams and bundles. Heavy Set provides extra blade clearance to minimize binding or pinching when beam stresses are relieved and/or when bundles move during cutting.
• Coils are furnished in 100`, 150` and 250` (30 m, 45 m and 76 m) lengths as listed. Blades are also furnished welded, in convenient lengths ready to use.

Tooth Rake, Shape and Pitch Selection

• Rake: Choose the rake based on the material/shape to be cut.
• Shape:
  • Regular: Conventional tooth for general purpose sawing, straight zero rake.
  • Hook: 10" positive rake for fast cutting of non-ferrous metals and non-metallics.
  • Bearcat™: Massive teeth, deep gullets, positive rake for aggressive production cutting of solids.
• Pitch
  • Constant: Usually for general purpose cutting.
  • Variable: Reduces noise levels and vibration; cuts structurals, tubing and solids smoothly, quickly.
